Analog Caliper

An analog caliper is a precise measuring tool used to determine the size, thickness, or diameter of objects. It consists of a main scale and a sliding scale called the Vernier. To use it, you place the object between the jaws, then slide the Vernier until it firmly contacts the object. The measurement is read by aligning the scales, providing an accurate reading often to the hundredth of a millimeter or thousandth of an inch. Analog calipers are widely used in engineering, manufacturing, and quality control for their reliability and precision.
