Analemma
An analemma is a diagram that shows the sun’s position in the sky at the same clock time throughout a year. When you photograph the sun at the same time each day from a fixed location, the sun’s positions trace out a figure-eight pattern called an analemma. This shape results from two factors: the Earth's tilt (causing solar declination changes through the year) and Earth's elliptical orbit (which affects the Sun’s apparent speed). The analemma helps us understand the variation in solar time and is often used for precise solar measurements and sundial calibration.
