Anachronism
An anachronism is when something appears in a story or situation that doesn’t fit the time period it’s supposed to be from. It’s like finding a modern gadget in a historical movie set hundreds of years ago, or a character using a phone in a historical novel. Anachronisms can happen intentionally, for artistic reasons, or by mistake. They can also be small details, like a clock showing the wrong time. Essentially, it’s a chronological inconsistency, where elements are out of their proper historical order.
