Amur Leopard
The Amur Leopard is a rare, critically endangered big cat native to the eastern regions of Russia and parts of China. Known for its striking thick coat and rosette-spotted fur, it is well adapted to cold, forested environments. As a solitary predator, it primarily hunts roe deer and hares. Due to habitat loss, poaching, and low population numbers—fewer than 120 individuals remain in the wild—the Amur Leopard is critically threatened. Conservation efforts focus on habitat preservation and anti-poaching measures to ensure its survival and recovery.
