Amplatzer Amulet

The Amplatzer Amulet is a medical device designed to prevent stroke in patients with atrial fibrillation—a heart condition causing irregular heartbeats. It’s a small, flexible plug inserted into the left atrial appendage, a small pouch in the heart where blood clots can form. By sealing this area, the Amulet reduces the risk of blood clots traveling to the brain and causing a stroke.
