
Amphitheater at El Djem
The Amphitheater at El Djem is an ancient Roman structure in Tunisia, built around the 3rd century AD. It is one of the best-preserved Roman amphitheaters outside Italy, designed to host gladiator contests and public spectacles. Made of stone and brick, it could seat up to 35,000 spectators and features tunnels, passages, and a central arena.
