Amphiprion
Amphiprion, commonly known as the clownfish or anemonefish, is a small marine fish species known for its bright orange color with white bands. They inhabit coral reefs and form mutualistic relationships with sea anemones, gaining protection from predators while helping the anemone by cleaning and increasing water circulation. Amphiprions are also interesting because they can change sex, starting life as males and switching to females if the dominant female dies. Their vibrant appearance and unique behaviors make them popular in saltwater aquariums and an important part of coral reef ecosystems.
