Amorphous solid dispersions
Amorphous solid dispersions are a way to improve the delivery of poorly soluble drugs. They involve dispersing the drug in a polymer matrix in an amorphous (non-crystalline) form, which enhances the drug's solubility and bioavailability. Unlike crystalline forms, amorphous dispersions do not have an ordered structure, allowing the drug to dissolve more easily in the body. This technique helps ensure that the medication is absorbed efficiently, making it more effective, especially for drugs that are difficult to dissolve using traditional methods.
