Amorian Dynasty
The Amorian Dynasty, also known as the Phrygian Dynasty, was a ruling family of the Byzantine Empire from the late 9th to the early 10th centuries (around 820–867 AD). It was founded by Emperor Theophilus and continued with his son, Michael III. This dynasty is notable for stabilizing the empire after periods of chaos, supporting religious and military reforms, and overseeing cultural revival. Although their reign faced challenges such as internal conflicts and external threats, the Amorian Dynasty played a key role in laying the groundwork for the Byzantine Empire's resurgence during this period.
