Amodal Perception

Amodal perception is the process by which our brain perceives a complete object even when parts of it are hidden or obscured. For example, when a car is partially covered behind a wall, we still recognize it as a single vehicle, filling in missing details based on context and experience. This feedback mechanism allows us to perceive objects as whole entities despite incomplete visual information, facilitating smooth and continuous understanding of our environment. Amodal perception helps us navigate and interact with the world efficiently, relying on our brain's ability to interpret partial clues as parts of a unified object.
