Amnesic patients

Amnesic patients have difficulty recalling past experiences or forming new memories due to damage or injury to certain brain areas, mainly the hippocampus. This condition can result from trauma, illness, or neurological conditions. They may remember how to do everyday tasks but struggle to remember recent events or personal details. Amnesia can be temporary or permanent and affects the ability to retain information, impacting daily life and personal identity. Despite memory issues, many amnesic patients retain other cognitive functions like language and reasoning.
