Amnesiac
"Amnesiac" refers to a person experiencing memory loss, unable to recall information, events, or sometimes their identity. This condition can result from brain injury, illness, psychological trauma, or certain substances. There are different types: retrograde amnesia, where past memories are lost; and anterograde amnesia, where new memories cannot be formed. While some amnesias are temporary, others can be permanent. Despite memory loss, individuals often retain other skills and knowledge. Treatment depends on the cause, but understanding and support are crucial for those affected.
