Amidah
The Amidah, also called the Shemoneh Esrei, is a central prayer in Jewish liturgy performed three times daily. Its name means "standing," reflecting the prayer’s posture. Comprising 19 benedictions, it includes praise of God, requests for personal and communal needs, and expressions of gratitude. The Amidah is recited silently and intentionally, serving as a core moment for connecting with God, reflecting on spiritual values, and seeking blessings. It is essential in daily worship and on special occasions, emphasizing trust in divine providence, humility, and hope.
