Amerigo Vespucci (the name of various geographical locations)

Amerigo Vespucci was an Italian explorer and navigator from the late 15th and early 16th centuries. He is credited with demonstrating that the lands discovered by European explorers in the New World were part of a separate continent, not Asia.
