American Mathematics Competitions (AMC)

The American Mathematics Competitions (AMC) are a series of challenging math contests designed to identify and encourage talented students in middle and high school. Organized by the Mathematical Association of America, they consist of multiple levels: AMC 8, AMC 10, and AMC 12, each serving different age groups. Participants solve problems that require logical reasoning and problem-solving skills, often beyond standard curricula. Performing well can lead to further opportunities, such as invitation to the USA Mathematical Olympiad (USAMO). The AMC promotes mathematical thinking, fosters collaboration, and nurtures future mathematicians and problem-solvers.
