American Liberty League

The American Liberty League was a political organization formed in 1934 by prominent business leaders and politicians who opposed President Franklin D. Roosevelt's New Deal policies. They believed these policies expanded government power too much and threatened individual freedoms and free enterprise. The League aimed to promote limited government and preserve American liberties as they viewed them. While it had some influence, it struggled to gain widespread public support and eventually faded in the late 1930s, reflecting the deep divisions in American society during the Great Depression.
