American extremism

American extremism refers to the beliefs and actions of individuals or groups that advocate for radical views often outside the mainstream political spectrum. This includes far-right groups that may promote nationalism or white supremacy, as well as far-left movements that may engage in anti-establishment or revolutionary rhetoric. Extremism can manifest through violence, hate speech, or the rejection of democratic norms. It often thrives on social divides and can be fueled by misinformation and economic or social grievances, posing challenges to social cohesion and public safety in the United States.
