American Council for Drug Education

The American Council for Drug Education (ACDE) was an organization dedicated to providing information and promoting responsible attitudes about drug use. It aimed to educate the public—especially young people—about the risks and effects of drugs through research, outreach, and educational programs. The goal was to prevent substance abuse by increasing awareness and encouraging informed decision-making. Although it was founded in the 1980s and merged into other organizations later, ACDE played a significant role in shaping drug education efforts during its active years.
