American Association of Marriage Counselors (AAMC)
The American Association of Marriage Counselors (AAMC) was a professional organization dedicated to supporting marriage and family therapists, providing resources, training, and advocacy to promote effective relationship counseling. It aimed to uphold high standards among therapists and improve mental health services for couples and families. In 2015, the AAMC merged with other organizations to form the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT), which continues to serve as the primary professional body for marriage and family therapists in the United States.
