American Association of Health Plans
The American Association of Health Plans (AAHP) was a trade organization representing health insurance companies and managed care plans in the United States. It aimed to promote the interests of its member organizations, improve healthcare quality, and influence health policy. By providing resources, research, and advocacy, AAHP helped shape discussions around healthcare coverage, access, and affordability. In 2003, it merged with the American Managed Care and Healthcare Strategies to form the America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP), which continues to serve as a leading U.S. trade association for health insurers today.
