American Association for Higher Education and Accreditation

The American Association for Higher Education and Accreditation (AAHEA) was an organization that previously set standards for colleges and universities to ensure quality education. It worked to promote continuous improvement and accountability in higher education institutions across the US. Although AAHEA itself no longer exists, its goals were related to maintaining high academic standards, fostering innovation, and supporting student success. Today, accreditation organizations and agencies continue this work by evaluating institutions to ensure they meet specific quality criteria that benefit students, employers, and society.
