American Association for Health Education (AAHE)

The American Association for Health Education (AAHE) was a professional organization that supported individuals working in health education, promoting health literacy, disease prevention, and wellness programs. It provided resources, professional development, and advocacy to enhance the effectiveness and credibility of health educators. AAHE aimed to improve public health through education and foster a network of professionals committed to promoting healthy behaviors and environments. In 2008, AAHE merged with the Society for Public Health Education (SOPHE), continuing its mission under the larger organization to advance health education practice, research, and policy.
