Ambrose of Milan

Ambrose of Milan was a prominent 4th-century bishop and one of the early Christian Church's most influential figures. He played a key role in the development of Christian doctrine and church governance. Known for his eloquent preaching and strong leadership, he famously defended the Church's independence from imperial authority. Ambrose is also credited with promoting the use of hymns in worship.
