Amani Karume

Amani Karume was a prominent Tanzanian politician and businessman, born in 1958. He was the son of Sir Buyumba Karume, a key leader in Zanzibar’s movement for independence. Amani served as the Minister of Industry and Trade in Tanzania and was involved in various business ventures, especially in trade and investment sectors. Known for his leadership and influence in both politics and business, he played a role in shaping economic development in Zanzibar and mainland Tanzania. He passed away in 2015, leaving a legacy as a significant figure in Tanzania’s political and economic landscape.
