Amadeo of Savoy

Amadeo of Savoy was an Italian nobleman and prince who was also briefly King of Spain from 1870 to 1873. Born into the House of Savoy, he was known for his diplomatic skills and commitment to modernization. His reign in Spain was part of a personal union, where he served as a constitutional monarch during a turbulent period of political change. After abdicating in favor of his son, he returned to Italy, continuing his service in diplomacy and military affairs.
