Alternator
An alternator is a device in a vehicle that generates electricity to power the car's electrical systems and charge the battery while the engine runs. It works by converting mechanical energy from the engine into electrical energy using electromagnetic induction. When the engine turns the alternator's rotor inside a coil of wire (stator), it creates an alternating current (AC). This AC is then converted to direct current (DC) to supply power to the car’s electrical components and keep the battery charged, ensuring reliable operation of lights, radio, and other electronic systems.
