Alpha Zero

AlphaZero is an artificial intelligence program developed by DeepMind that masterfully learns to play complex games like chess, shogi, and Go. Unlike traditional programs that rely on pre-programmed rules or human expertise, AlphaZero uses a process called reinforcement learning, where it plays countless games against itself, gradually improving through experience. It combines deep neural networks to evaluate positions with a Monte Carlo Tree Search to decide moves. Remarkably, within hours, AlphaZero can develop strategies comparable or superior to human champions, showcasing how AI can learn and innovate independently in strategic thinking.
