Alpha (α) Tauri

Alpha Tauri, also known as Aldebaran, is the brightest star in the Taurus constellation. It appears as a large, reddish-orange star visible to the naked eye. Aldebaran is a red giant, meaning it has expanded and cooled after exhausting the fuel in its core, giving it its distinctive color. Located about 65 light-years from Earth, it is roughly 44 times the Sun's size but only about 400 times brighter. Its prominence in the night sky makes it an important reference point in astronomy and a beautiful feature in the constellation Taurus.
