Alpha Centauri B

Alpha Centauri B is a star located approximately 4.37 light-years from Earth, making it one of our nearest stellar neighbors. It’s part of the Alpha Centauri star system, which also includes Alpha Centauri A and Proxima Centauri. Alpha Centauri B is a slightly smaller and less luminous star than our Sun, classified as a K-type main-sequence star. Its properties make it a key target in the search for potentially habitable exoplanets. Although no planets have been confirmed orbiting it yet, its proximity and similarity to the Sun make it an important subject in understanding stars like our own.
