Alpha (α) Cassiopeiae

Alpha Cassiopeiae, also known as Schedar, is a bright, orange-hued giant star located in the constellation Cassiopeia. It has expanded and cooled after using up much of its fuel, making it appear larger and reddish-orange when viewed from Earth. Schedar is roughly 230 light-years away and shines with about 200 times the Sun’s brightness. Its distinctive color and position in the W-shaped Cassiopeia constellation make it a notable point for stargazers. As a giant star, it represents a later stage in a star's life, indicating it has evolved from its original main-sequence phase.
