ALOHAnet

ALOHAnet was an early computer network developed in the 1970s at the University of Hawaii. It allowed multiple computers to share a common communication channel by randomly transmitting data packets. If two computers sent data at the same time, a collision occurred, and they had to retry later. This simple method laid the foundation for modern wireless communication and Ethernet technology. ALOHAnet demonstrated how to efficiently manage shared wireless media, making it a pioneering step toward the development of today's Wi-Fi and satellite networks.
