AllSeen Alliance
The AllSeen Alliance was a group of technology companies that collaborated to develop and promote the AllJoyn platform, which enables different devices—like smart lights, thermostats, and TVs—to communicate seamlessly over a network. It aimed to create a universal language so these devices could work together, regardless of manufacturer, making smart homes more interoperable and user-friendly. The alliance fostered open standards to encourage innovation and ease of integration. In 2016, it merged with the Connectivity Standards Alliance (formerly Zigbee Alliance), continuing to promote smart device interoperability.
