Allied Control Council

The Allied Control Council was an administrative body established after World War II to govern Germany jointly by the United States, the United Kingdom, the Soviet Union, and France. It was created to coordinate the occupation and oversee the rebuilding of Germany, ensuring cooperation among the Allied powers. The council made decisions on military occupation, disarmament, and reconstruction, but disagreements among the Allies often limited its effectiveness.
