Aliphatic Polyamides

Aliphatic polyamides, commonly known as nylons, are a type of synthetic polymer formed by the chemical bonding of long chains of molecules called monomers. These chains contain repeating amide groups, which give nylons strength, flexibility, and resistance to heat and chemicals. They are widely used in textiles, automotive parts, and industrial applications due to their durability and versatility. Unlike aromatic polyamides (like Kevlar), aliphatic polyamides are made from simpler, straight-chain molecules, making them easier to process and suitable for a broad range of everyday products.
