Alid
Alid refers to the Islamic term "Alid" (also spelled "Alid" or "Alavi"), which denotes followers of Ali ibn Abi Talib, the cousin and son-in-law of Prophet Muhammad. They believe Ali was the rightful successor to Muhammad and hold that leadership of the Muslim community should stay within his family, known as the Ahl al-Bayt (People of the House). Alids often form part of Shia Muslims, emphasizing the importance of Ali's lineage in religious authority, spiritual insight, and community leadership, shaping Islamic history, theology, and practices connected to these familial and spiritual ties.
