Ali Shariati was an influential Iranian sociologist and thinker, often called the "Father of the Iranian Revolution." He combined Islamic teachings with modern ideas to inspire social change and resistance against oppression. Shariati emphasized education, social justice, and the importance of individual responsibility within an Islamic framework. His writings motivated many Iranians to seek political reform, playing a key role in shaping the ideology behind the 1979 Islamic Revolution. Despite his death in 1977, his ideas continue to influence Islamic activism and political thought in Iran and beyond.
