Algonquian people
The Algonquian people are a diverse group of Indigenous tribes across North America, primarily in the northeastern United States and eastern Canada. Historically, they shared cultural traits such as hunting, fishing, and agriculture, and spoke languages from the Algonquian language family. Prominent tribes include the Ojibwe, Lenape, and Micmac. They had complex social organizations and rich traditions, contributing significantly to regional history and culture. Today, many Algonquian-speaking communities continue to preserve their languages, traditions, and rights, playing a vital role in the cultural diversity of North America.
