Algerian People's Army (ALN)

The Algerian People's Army (ALN) was the military branch of the National Liberation Front (FLN) during Algeria's fight for independence from France, from 1954 to 1962. It was formed to organize armed resistance, conduct guerrilla warfare, and defend its revolutionary goals. After independence, the ALN transitioned into the regular Algerian military, playing a central role in maintaining national security and sovereignty. It is now a professional, modern armed forces responsible for defending Algeria's territory and supporting national policies.
