Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building

The Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building was a government office in Oklahoma City, built in 1977. It housed various federal agencies and served as a center for administrative services. On April 19, 1995, it was demolished in a tragic bombing carried out by Timothy McVeigh and others, killing 168 people and injuring hundreds. The attack was the deadliest act of domestic terrorism in U.S. history at that time. The site has since been transformed into the Oklahoma City National Memorial, honoring victims and promoting peace and remembrance.
