Alfred Jodl

Alfred Jodl was a German military officer and General during World War II, serving as the chief of staff for the German Armed Forces High Command (OKW). He played a key role in planning and coordinating Germany’s military operations. After the war, Jodl was tried at Nuremberg for war crimes and crimes against humanity, where he was found guilty for his leadership role in aggressive warfare and atrocities. He was sentenced to death but his sentence was later commuted to life imprisonment; he was executed in 1946.
