Alexei Khomyakov

Alexei Khomyakov (1804–1860) was a Russian theologian and philosopher known for founding the Slavophile movement, which emphasized the unique cultural and spiritual values of Russia and Eastern Orthodoxy. He argued that Russia's identity was rooted in its traditional Orthodox faith and communal traditions, contrasting with Western individualism and rationalism.
