Alexander of Athens
Alexander of Athens was an ancient Greek historian, philosopher, and teacher from the 5th century BCE. He is best known for his influence on Socrates, as he was an early mentor who shaped Socrates' thinking and moral approach. Alexander emphasized personal integrity, ethics, and the importance of examination of one’s life. His teachings contributed to the development of Western philosophical ideas about virtue and character. Though less famous than Socrates, Alexander played a key role in intellectual circles in Athens and helped lay groundwork for future philosophical traditions.
