Alethiology

Alethiology is the philosophical study of truth—examining its nature, how it is determined, and what it means for a statement or belief to be true. It explores questions like: What does it mean for something to be true? How do we reliably identify truth? and how truth relates to knowledge and reality. Essentially, alethiology seeks to understand the concept of truth itself, providing a foundation for disciplines such as logic, epistemology, and philosophy of language. It aims to clarify how truth functions in human understanding and communication.
