Aldo Moro was a prominent Italian politician and statesman, serving as Prime Minister several times from the 1960s to the 1970s. He was known for efforts to modernize Italy and promote social stability. Moro was also a leading figure in the Italian Christian Democratic Party. In 1978, he was kidnapped by the Red Brigades, a far-left terrorist group, and held hostage for over a month.
