Alarm Reaction

Alarm reaction is the body's immediate response to a sudden threat or stressor, activating the fight-or-flight response. When faced with danger, the brain signals the adrenal glands to release adrenaline and other hormones, which increase heart rate, blood flow, and energy supplies. This prepares the body to confront or escape the threat. After this initial reaction, the body either recovers or moves into the next stages of stress response. The alarm reaction helps us respond quickly to emergencies, but prolonged activation can lead to health issues if stressors persist.
