Alan people
The Alans were an ancient group of nomadic people of Iranian origin who lived in Central Asia and later migrated into Europe around the 1st century AD. They were known for their skills in horseback riding and warfare. The Alans played a significant role in the early medieval period, interacting with various groups, including the Huns and Goths. Over time, they dispersed, influencing the cultures of regions such as the Caucasus and the Iberian Peninsula. Today, their legacy is reflected in modern groups, particularly among the Ossetians in northern Caucasus, who consider themselves descendants of the Alans.
