Al2O3

Aluminum oxide, or Al₂O₃, is a compound made of aluminum and oxygen atoms. Commonly known as aluminum oxide or alumina, it appears as a white or transparent crystalline powder. It is highly durable, hard, and resistant to heat and corrosion. Because of these properties, it’s used in making electrical insulators, scratch-resistant glass, ceramics, and even in water treatment. Alumina is also naturally occurring as the mineral bauxite, which is the primary source of aluminum metal. Its combination of strength and stability makes it a valuable material across various industrial applications.
