Al Wusta Wildlife Reserve

Al Wusta Wildlife Reserve, located in central Oman, is a protected area known for its diverse desert landscapes and important habitat for wildlife. It features vast sand dunes, wadis (dry riverbeds), and seasonal water sources that support various species, including Arabian leopards, gazelles, and migratory birds. The reserve plays a critical role in conservation efforts, helping to preserve Oman’s unique desert ecosystem. Managed by the Oman Ministry of Environment and Climate Affairs, it promotes sustainable tourism, research, and ecological health, aiming to balance ecological preservation with the needs of local communities.
