
Al-Mamun
Al-Ma'mun was a prominent Abbasid caliph who ruled from 813 to 833 CE. He is known for promoting learning, science, and cultural exchange, founding the famous House of Wisdom in Baghdad, where scholars translated and preserved Greek, Persian, and Indian texts.
