Al-Haytham (Ibn al-Haytham)
Ibn al-Haytham, also known as Al-Haytham, was a pioneering Muslim scientist from the 10th century, often called the "Father of Optics." He made groundbreaking discoveries about how light and vision work, challenging previous beliefs. Through experiments, he showed that vision occurs when light enters the eye, not by rays emanating from the eyes. His work laid the foundation for modern optics, telescopes, and cameras. Ibn al-Haytham's emphasis on careful experimentation and scientific method greatly influenced the development of science and technology.
